Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified, responsible, and safety-conscious Swimming Coach to train students in swimming skills while ensuring the highest standards of water safety. The ideal candidate will promote physical fitness, confidence, and discipline while strictly adhering to school safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct swimming lessons for students of different age groups and skill levels
- Ensure constant supervision of students during swimming sessions
- Teach proper swimming techniques, water safety, and pool discipline
- Assess students’ swimming abilities and track progress
- Enforce pool safety rules and emergency procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the swimming pool area
- Coordinate with lifeguards, PE staff, and school administration
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues immediately
- Participate in school sports events and training programs
Mandatory Safety Licenses & Certifications:
Candidates must possess valid and current certifications, including:
- Swimming Coach Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., National/State Sports Federation)
- Lifeguard Certification from an approved organization
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Water Rescue / Pool Safety Certification
- Police Verification / Background Check (as per school norms)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Swimming Coaching / Sports Training
- Minimum 3 years of experience coaching children in a school or academy
- Strong knowledge of pool safety standards and emergency response
- Physically fit and capable of performing water rescues
- Patient, disciplined, and child-friendly approach
- Excellent communication and supervision skills
