About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager with deep hands-on experience in Node.js, Python, and AI-driven backend systems. This role combines strong technical expertise with people leadership — driving innovation, scalability, and intelligent automation across projects. The ideal candidate will lead high-performing teams to build smart, data-driven, and high performance platforms using modern frameworks and emerging AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous technical leadership, participate in architectural design discussions, and ensure adherence to best coding and quality standards.
Lead multiple backend teams through the entire SDLC with ownership of delivery scope, timelines, and quality.
Architect, design, and optimize backend solutions built on Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Flask), microservices, and AI-enabled systems.
Integrate AI and machine learning models into products to improve decision-making, automation, and performance.
Drive Agile best practices — sprint planning, retrospectives, and transparent communication with stakeholders.
Manage project progress, risks, and deliverables using structured reporting and modern DevOps tools.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (DevOps, UI/UX, QA, Product) to ensure seamless delivery.
Mentor engineers, encourage innovation, and build a culture of technical excellence and learning.
Partner with other engineering leads to align technology vision, scalability, and AI-driven architecture improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in backend development using Node.js and Python.
In a technical leadership or engineering management role.
Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, asynchronous architecture, and AI integration.
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or MySQL).
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven ability to apply AI/ML models or work with data science teams for backend integration.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated track record of delivering AI-powered or automation-driven projects on time and within budget.
Good to Have:
Agile / Scrum certification.
Experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, etc.).
Exposure to frontend integration (React / Angular / Vue).
Background in data engineering, NLP, or recommendation systems.
