Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Manager
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Compensation: ₹50,000 - ₹60,000 per month
Experience Required: 3 - 4 years in M&E
Working Days: Mon to Fri (Alternate Sat will be working)
Working Hours: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Monitoring & Tracking
- Develop and implement robust M&E frameworks to track the progress of key initiatives (e.g., large-scale plantation targets, hectarage milestones, and volumetric water gains).
- Work closely with project heads and field teams to ensure the timely collection of qualitative and quantitative impact data.
- Monitor operational variances (such as procurement or implementation costs vs. budget) and provide actionable insights to the strategy team.
2. Grant Compliance & Donor Reporting
- Manage end-to-end reporting cycles for corporate donors, institutional partners, and CSR grants.
- Ensure all programmatic activities strictly comply with donor agreements and internal codes of conduct.
- Assist in maintaining compliance documentation required for standard registries (such as Verra or Gold Standard).
- Translate complex field data into clear, compelling impact reports, presentations, and confidence notes for stakeholders.
3. Data Management & Tech Integration
- Leverage digital monitoring tools, GIS platforms, and internal apps to verify on-ground deliverables.
- Maintain organized databases for project metrics, ensuring data integrity for audits and year-end reviews.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3 to 4 years of dedicated M&E experience, specifically within the sustainability, climate action, or forestry/water conservation sectors.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of grant lifecycles, CSR compliances, and environmental impact metrics. Familiarity with carbon markets or institutional funding is a strong plus.
- Software & Technical Proficiency:
- High proficiency in the MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word) for rigorous data management, budget tracking, and report writing.
- Working knowledge/basic proficiency in Canva to assist in creating visually engaging impact reports and stakeholder presentations.
- Familiarity with modern AI tools to optimize productivity, streamline data workflows, or assist in content drafting.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality donor materials.
- Attributes: Highly organized, capable of managing multiple project timelines simultaneously, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.
