ABOUT THE ROLE
At Digital Palmy Inc., video is at the heart of our creative offering — from social-first Reels to brand films, product showcases, and event coverage. We are looking for a skilled Video Editor who can cut compelling narratives, understand platform-native formats, and bring visual stories to life. Reports to: Senior Editors
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit short-form and long-form video content across platforms — Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, brand films, and ad campaigns
- Work closely with the creative team and client teams to understand brief requirements and deliver on brand
- Handle complete post-production workflow: rough cut, colour grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, and final export
- Add subtitles, lower thirds, transitions, and visual effects to enhance storytelling
- Edit footage from shoots handled by the Video Production & Photography team
- Adapt master videos into platform-specific formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, etc.)
- Maintain organised project files, assets, and version control across client projects
- Stay up to date with trending video styles, transitions, and social-first formats
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–4 years of experience in video editing with a strong, demonstrable portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects and DaVinci Resolve is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling for digital audiences
- Experience editing for social media platforms with knowledge of aspect ratios and format requirements
- Basic colour correction and audio balancing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills to understand and incorporate feedback efficiently
GOOD TO HAVE
- Motion graphics or basic animation skills (After Effects)
- Experience with AI video tools (CapCut AI, Runway ML, etc.)
- Knowledge of green screen / chroma keying workflows
- Experience editing influencer content, brand campaigns, or event highlight reels
