About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to join our Platform Engineering Team.
In this role, you'll build and scale the backend services that power our products. You'll work on designing robust APIs, developing cloud-native applications, and building reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software that supports our growing platform.

What You'll Do
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
Build secure, reliable, and high-performance RESTful APIs.
Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services.
Design and implement solutions using event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing and deployments.
Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system stability and performance.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in backend software development.
Strong programming experience in PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and understanding of backend development
principles.
Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS, and API Gateway.
Good understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous systems.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Good to Have
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and Grafana.
Experience with Docker and containerization.
Exposure to microservices architecture.
Understanding of application security, scalability, and performance optimization.
