About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer - Automation with strong technical understanding and proven experience in industrial automation sales. The role involves complete sales cycle management including lead generation, proposals, customer coordination, documentation, and order closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new leads for Automation Solutions, Laboratory Instruments, AMC, and Repair Services.
- Prepare, send, and follow up on:
o Instrument offers
o AMC offers
o Spare quotations
o Payment follow-ups
o Invoice intimations
o Closing customer inquiries
- Perform all required paperwork and documentation related to sales, offers, visits, inquiries, and order processing.
- Conduct customer meetings, field visits, technical discussions, and product presentations.
- Promote PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions, VFDs, IIoT systems, control panels, and automation services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, EPCs, integrators, and end-user industries.
- Coordinate with internal technical and service teams for solutions support.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain lead tracking, sales pipelines, and follow-up reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Automation Sales.
- Good English communication (written, reading, and speaking).
- Technical understanding of:
o PLC, SCADA, HMI
o VFD / Servo
o Lab & field instruments
o Modbus / Profibus / Ethernet / 4-20mA signals
- Ability to prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, quotes, and documentation.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and customer-handling skills.
o Electronics & Communication
o Instrumentation & Control
o Electrical Engineering
o Or other relevant technical fields.
