Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Operations to lead and oversee our end-to-end operational functions, including Purchase, Supply Chain Management, Business Development, and Overall Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, optimizing procurement and supply chain processes, improving profitability, and supporting business growth initiatives.
This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and hands-on operational management experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Lead and manage daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure smooth execution of business activities.
Purchase & Procurement
- Oversee procurement planning, vendor management, and purchasing activities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials while optimizing costs and quality.
- Develop reliable vendor networks and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and reduce procurement-related risks.
Supply Chain Management
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Improve supply chain efficiency, lead times, and cost optimization.
- Implement systems and processes for demand planning and inventory control.
- Ensure timely delivery and availability of products/materials.
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks proactively.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and strategic partnerships.
- Support revenue growth through operational support and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with sales and management teams to achieve business targets.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and key business discussions.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities for business expansion.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams.
- Establish performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong interdepartmental coordination and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in operations, procurement, supply chain, or general management roles.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional business operations.
