Payroll Specialist – Ireland Payroll
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist with hands-on experience in managing
both UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI) payrolls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing three monthly payrolls across
the UK and ROI, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely completion. This is a hands-on
payroll role requiring strong knowledge of UK and Irish payroll legislation, pensions, benefits
and salary sacrifice.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage and process three monthly payrolls:
ROI: 60+ permanent employees
ROI: 25+ employees, including typists
UK: Fewer than 30 employees
Complete the full end-to-end payroll process from payroll input through to
finalisation.
Process salaries, deductions, pensions, healthcare and other employee benefits.
Manage compensation and benefits as part of the payroll process.
Ensure payroll calculations and statutory deductions are accurate and compliant.
Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate payroll records and payroll documentation.
Work closely with HR, Finance and external payroll providers where required.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information.
Ensure all payrolls are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Essential Requirements
Proven hands-on experience processing both UK and Republic of Ireland payroll.
Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience.
Experience managing UK and ROI pensions, healthcare, compensation and benefits.
Good knowledge of UK and Irish payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
Practical experience with UK salary sacrifice schemes is essential.
Strong understanding of how salary sacrifice affects payroll, taxation and employee
deductions.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines independently.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Experience Level
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of the
payrolls with minimal supervision.
Candidates who have worked for UK/Irish companies or international organisations
supporting UK and Ireland payrolls from India would be particularly relevant.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced UK ; Ireland Payroll Specialist / Payroll Executive
/ Payroll Analyst currently working in India, with demonstrable experience managing
payrolls for employees based in both jurisdictions. Anaconda
UK; ROI payroll experience is essential — candidates with UK-only or India-only payroll
experience would not be suitable for this position.
