We are looking for an experienced Master Technician – Instrumentation to join our technical team. The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, calibration and repair of industrial instrumentation and control equipment at refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer or other process-industry facilities.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in instrumentation maintenance and the ability to work safely in an industrial plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manpower Planning & Deployment
- Assess daily, weekly, and monthly manpower requirements for Instrumentation equipment maintenance.
- Meet the unit engineer on a routine basis in the morning 08:30-09:00Hrs & 14:00-14:15 Hrs. for collection of permits for respective units and allocation of permits/jobs to technicians and other manpower. Allocate manpower across shifts as per maintenance and priority tasks.
- Manage daily rosters, leave planning, attendance and rotation schedules to ensure workforce availability as per organogram or as per EIC/SIC instruction. Contractor should submit monthly attendance of manpower to EIC.
- Arrange manpower in case of emergencies in plant as per EIC/SIC instruction during normal, beyond normal working hours including Sunday/Holiday.
Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise all manpower i.e., senior technician, skilled personnel and helpers involved in Instrumentation maintenance jobs.
- Act as the point of contact between floor-level workers and section heads or IOCL Officers.
- Ensure smooth coordination with other Department (e.g., Inspection, Mechanical, Production,Electrical, TS etc.)
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all contractor manpower follows site-specific safety protocols, PPE usage, and safe work practices. He has to perform the additional duty of safety supervisor for all the maintenance/emergency and shut down jobs.
- Report and address any unsafe behaviours, incidents, or near-misses immediately.
- Support audits, toolbox talks, and safety drills.

- Ensuring LOTO compliance
- Ensuring compliance with JSA for all critical jobs in coordination with SIC/PN or other dept. if required.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain records of attendance, shift logs, overtime and disciplinary actions if any.
- Reporting daily ongoing maintenance job and preparing MIS, PM maintenance history & forwarding the same to SIC
- FPR for liaisoning with EIC for any information or issues related with contract..
Qualification & Experience
Diploma Candidates
- Diploma in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation maintenance.
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer or process industries preferred.
ITI Candidates
- ITI in Instrumentation.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in instrumentation maintenance.
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer or process industries preferred.
Computer Skills
Candidates should be proficient in:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- MS PowerPoint
Language Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to read, write and speak Hindi.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
