Position: Senior Account Executive

Job Summary
The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling purchase and sales accounting, GST and TDS compliance, bank reconciliation, vendor/customer ledgers, and supporting monthly and annual financial closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in Tally/Tally Prime or ERP.
- Record and verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Maintain and reconcile purchase and sales registers with accounting records.
- Verify purchase invoices with PO, GRN, delivery challan, and supporting documents, wherever applicable.
- Check GSTIN, taxable value, CGST, SGST, IGST, and GST rates on invoices.
- Maintain proper records for GST input and output transactions.
- Assist in GST reconciliation between books, purchase register, and GST portal data.
- Prepare and maintain TDS records, including deduction, payment, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparation and filing of applicable GST and TDS returns.
- Maintain vendor and customer ledgers and conduct regular ledger reconciliation.
- Follow up for outstanding receivables and payables and provide ageing reports to management.
- Perform regular Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and investigate differences.
- Maintain cash and bank transactions and ensure proper supporting documentation.
- Verify employee expenses, bills, reimbursements, and other accounting claims.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense reports, outstanding reports, and other financial statements as required by management.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation accounting.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of invoices, vouchers, bank documents, GST records, TDS records, and other accounting documents.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, customers, and internal departments as required.
- Assist in statutory, internal, and financial audits and provide required documents and information.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction after proper approval.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable statutory requirements.
Tally & Accounting Responsibilities
- Daily entry of all accounting transactions in Tally/Tally Prime.
- Maintain correct ledger groups, supplier/customer ledgers, purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, expense ledgers, and tax ledgers.
- Ensure correct accounting treatment of GST, TDS, expenses, advances, provisions, and adjustments.
- Reconcile Tally balances with bank statements, purchase registers, sales registers, and supporting records.
- Generate required reports from Tally for management and audit purposes.
- Ensure accounting entries are complete, accurate, and properly supported.
GST & TDS Responsibilities
- Verify GST details on purchase and sales invoices.
- Maintain records of input tax credit (ITC) and output GST.
- Assist with GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GST reconciliation, as applicable to the organization.
- Verify supplier GST invoices and identify mismatches in GST data.
- Calculate and record applicable TDS deductions.
- Maintain TDS working sheets and supporting records.
- Assist with TDS return preparation and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with consultants/accounts team for statutory compliance and notices, if any.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Good working knowledge of Tally/Tally Prime.
- Practical knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, filters, sorting, and reconciliation.
- Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, and vendor/customer accounting.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet accounting deadlines.
Qualification
Minimum: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
Preferred: 3–6 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in a Hospital, or service organization.

- Timely reconciliation of bank, vendor, customer, GST, and other ledgers.
