Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager in Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring GMP compliance, production quality, audits, and regulatory adherence across seafood and vegetable operations. Also leads QA/QC teams and drives corrective actions, customer complaint resolution, and continuous improvement in food safety systems . Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance across premises and personnel, including pest control, hygienic storage conditions, and staff hygiene training.
- Conduct daily factory rounds across seafood and vegetable processing areas to monitor quality and compliance.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance by inspecting machinery and facilities to identify potential contamination risks such as metal fragments, loose parts, cracks, and ventilation issues.
- Verify maintenance and repair activities to ensure proper corrective actions and compliance with safety standards.
- Implement instructions and operational guidance as directed by senior management.
- Supervise housekeeping operations by issuing cleaning instructions and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.
- Handle official visits and compliance coordination with regulatory authorities such as EIA, MPEDA, and Spices Board India.
- Support regulatory documentation and export requirements including FSSAI compliance, AQCS coordination, and Korea cost sheet preparation.
- Manage QA approvals and oversee quality management systems, including production monitoring, sample testing, and product evaluation.
- Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure resolution of quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce customer complaints, including submission of monthly EIA statements.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, and SSOP.
- Oversee training programs on food safety, hygiene practices, and quality systems for QA and production staff.
- Lead, mentor, and manage QA/QC teams across seafood and vegetable divisions.
- Ensure proper implementation of sanitation and hygiene practices across the facility.
- Maintain punctuality and accountability in assigned duties.
- Maintain records and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
