ARDEM Data Services is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and data services company delivering managed operations support to clients across finance, healthcare, logistics, and other industries. We help logistics companies, 3PLs, manufacturers, distributors, and transportation teams run high-volume, document-heavy, exception-heavy workflows with greater visibility, speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
We are hiring a Business Development Consultant to develop new client relationships and commercial opportunities across freight back-office workflows, freight billing, freight audit support, BOL/POD documentation, carrier/customer documentation, warehouse admin, logistics data processing, track-and-trace support, claims/admin workflows, and transportation operations support.
This role is focused on managed operations opportunities — not generic freight brokerage, transactional carrier sales, or staffing. You will own the full sales cycle: prospecting, running sequences, qualifying, discovery, shaping the opportunity, coordinating solutioning, and closing.
-
Managed freight billing, freight audit support, BOL/POD processing, load documentation, carrier/customer admin, track-and-trace support, claims/admin workflows, warehouse admin, and logistics data processing.
-
Operational support lanes with trained teams, workflow discipline, reporting, QA, exception handling, SLA visibility, and practical technology.
-
Business outcomes: better visibility, fewer backlogs, faster processing, cleaner documentation, improved control, lower internal burden, and scalable support for recurring operations.
-
Build targeted account lists and outbound sequences around logistics, 3PL, warehousing, freight, transportation, distribution, and operations buyer pain.
-
Research trigger events such as rapid shipment growth, hiring challenges, documentation backlogs, carrier/customer service strain, system changes, M&A, new facilities, compliance pressure, or freight cost visibility issues.
-
Run consultative discovery around current workflow, shipment/document volume, systems, exceptions, handoffs, service levels, stakeholders, timing, business impact, and decision path.
-
Develop qualified opportunities and lead them through discovery, solution review, proposal direction, commercial negotiation, and close.
-
Coordinate with Solutions, Delivery, Revenue Ops, and Commercial Leadership to shape credible managed operations solutions.
-
Maintain strong CRM discipline: buyer context, qualification notes, next steps, risks, source, stage, value, and close plan.
-
5+ years of consultative sales, business development, solution selling, transportation/logistics services sales, 3PL services, logistics technology, freight audit/payment, transportation back-office, warehousing services, or operations-oriented commercial experience.
-
Strong understanding of logistics operations, freight workflows, transportation documentation, 3PL operations, warehouse admin, carrier/customer processes, or operational back-office support.
-
Can speak credibly with COO, VP Operations, VP Logistics, Transportation, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Finance Operations stakeholders.
-
Has created pipeline through outbound effort, not only managed inbound leads.
-
Commercial judgment: knows when a logistics prospect has a real managed operations problem versus a transactional vendor request.
