- Material Inspection: Verify incoming raw materials and components against purchase orders and specifications before they enter the production line.
- In-Process Monitoring: Conduct routine dimensional, visual, and functional checks during assembly to ensure the manufacturing process operates within acceptable tolerance levels.
- Defect Detection: Measure parts using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, or Coordinate Measuring Machines) and remove defective items from the line.
- Compliance & Testing: Run stress, pressure, or performance tests on a sample basis based on industry and regulatory standards.
- Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain waste logs, and input data into quality databases or ERP systems.
- Supplier Collaboration: Communicate defective findings with the purchasing and supplier quality teams to enforce corrective actions and prevent recurring issues.
