Sourcing Consultant is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities, supporting clients in delivering cost-effective, compliant, and value-driven sourcing solutions across indirect and operational categories. The role acts as the primary interface between business stakeholders and suppliers while ensuring adherence to procurement policies, processes, and contractual requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & RFx Management
Manage sourcing projects from initiation through award and contract execution.
Conduct RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, eAuctions, and supplier negotiations.
Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements.
Evaluate supplier proposals and recommend award decisions.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and suppliers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into sourcing solutions.
Contracting & Supplier Negotiation
Draft contracts using standard terms and conditions.
Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers.
Support contract reviews and obtain required approvals.
Ensure compliance with procurement and legal requirements.
Procurement Operations & Compliance
Execute sourcing activities using approved procurement systems and tools.
Ensure compliance with client policies, procurement procedures, and governance requirements.
Maintain sourcing documentation and audit trails.
Drive adoption of sourcing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performance & Value Delivery
Deliver savings, cost avoidance, and value creation opportunities.
Achieve defined KPIs, SLAs, and performance objectives.
Identify process optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
7 – 8 years of sourcing/procurement experience.
Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies and procurement best practices.
Experience with eSourcing platforms such as SAP Ariba, Agiloft and related procurement tools.
Hands-on approach and proactiveness
Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with ability to build rapport, establish trust, and develop positive relationships with stakeholders
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
Excellent analytical skills and mindset demonstrating problem-solving, relationship management, escalation management and influencing skills with a strong customer-service orientation
Good understanding of sourcing processes and best practices
Ready to interact with stakeholders from all organizational levels
A delivery-focused sourcer and a team player who is comfortable creating their own profile and credibility
Experience in intermediate Excel (Medium to Advance), eSourcing tools such as SAP ARIBA and any other proprietary sourcing tools
Proactive in engaging with clients to prepare their project pipelines
