- Ensure a safe, warm and high quality learning and caring environment at School
i. Welcome all infants, and childcare children with a daily health check which includes temperature check and looking out for symptoms of infection and discomfor
ii. Ensure safety and hygiene of the infants at all times and be familiar with safety procedures at School
iii. Feed and change the clothing for the infants at regular intervals
iv. Follow individual Allergy Alerts in case of allergies
v. Clean and change the infant’s diaper with adequate precautions to ensure hygiene
vi. Use sterilized equipment such as feeding bottles, bowls, spoons etc
vii. Establish sleep patterns of the infants and monitor them during sleep time
viii. Keep the room tidy and all equipment, bedding and clothing clean and sterilized
ix. Restock diapers as and when required
x. Keep the infants engaged in developmentally appropriate activities as advised by the Child Care Coordinator/ School Head
xi. Ensure that the first aid box is well stocked at all times, and medicines are within their expiry date
xii. Administer first aid when required
xiii. Mentor other childcare staff to administer first aid if and when required
xiv. Report any signs of infection / illness to the School Head
c. Additional responsibilities:
i. Isolate a sick child so as to minimize the spread of infection
iiPromote and assist in the identification and control of communicable diseases through early deduction, surveillance and reporting of contagious diseases
iii.Administer medication in the correct dosage if required and specifically requested in writing by the parent
iv. Maintain daily record of activities – feed time, diaper changing, and nap time for infants and share the same with their parents
v Prepare Monthly updates and Reports to share with the parents
vi Maintain inventories/stocklists and reports on a monthly basis
d. Undertake any additional assignments/responsibilities, given by the company from time to time
