Department: DRI (Sponge Iron) Division| Location: SRP, Ramgarh | Reports to: Unit Head / CMD
Purpose: Complete operational and commercial ownership of the DRI division — rated production at the lowest sustainable specific consumption, with full statutory and safety compliance.
Qualification: M.Sc. / B.Sc. / Diploma / B.E. – Metallurgy
Experience: 20–22 years in DRI plant operation and maintenance, including independent charge of a rotary kiln based unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the production plan and deliver committed volumes at target quality.
- Govern kiln parameters, availability and campaign life through structured accretion and shutdown management.
- Set and progressively tighten specific consumption norms for ore, coal, dolomite and power.
- Approve refractory planning, shutdown scope, and capital and revenue repair proposals.
- Ensure sponge iron quality consistently meets SMS and customer requirement.
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, PCB consent conditions and all statutory requirements.
- Build the divisional second line and control manpower cost per tonne.
- Coordinate with SMS, Power Plant, Stores and Purchase; present monthly performance to management.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per month
