Job Title: Junior Accountant (Garments Industry)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in the garments or manufacturing industry. The candidate will assist in managing daily accounting operations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy in transactions related to production, vendors, and inventory.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Accounts & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries (Purchase, Sales, Journal, Payment, Receipt).
- Handle cash and bank transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
- Maintain proper records of invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Vendor & Purchase Accounting
- Record fabric, trims, and accessories purchase entries.
- Verify supplier invoices with purchase orders and GRN (Goods Receipt Note).
- Maintain vendor ledger and track outstanding payments.
- Sales & Receivables
- Generate sales invoices and maintain customer accounts.
- Track receivables and follow up for pending payments.
- Coordinate with the merchandising team for order-wise billing.
- Inventory & Production Accounting
- Assist in maintaining stock records of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate with store and production departments for stock updates.
- Monitor consumption and wastage reports.
- GST & Compliance
- Assist in GST data preparation (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
- Maintain proper tax records and support in filing returns.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Payroll & Expenses
- Support in salary preparation and wage calculations (if required).
- Record and verify employee reimbursements and expenses.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare basic MIS reports and expense summaries.
- Maintain organized filing system (physical & digital).
- Assist senior accountant in audits and financial reporting.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience with Tally / Busy / any accounting software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Understanding of garments production flow is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 1 year experience in accounting (garments industry preferred).
- Commerce graduate (B.Com or equivalent).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
