We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Koch Capabilities India. This role will focus on delivering high-quality data solutions, enabling business insights, and improving operational efficiency through scalable data pipelines and reporting systems.
Our Team
You will be part of a collaborative data and analytics team that partners with global stakeholders across manufacturing and finance domains. The team is focused on building reliable data solutions, driving continuous improvement, and creating long-term value through data-driven decision-making.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting solutions using SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and performance
- Support debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of data workflows
- Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Create and maintain design artifacts such as source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, and RCA documents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver data solutions aligned with business needs
- Apply understanding of BI concepts (OLTP vs OLAP) to design effective data models and reporting structures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and efficiency gains
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent professional experience

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, BI development, or related roles
- Experience working with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Visual Studio
- Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Experience debugging and performance tuning SQL-based solutions
- Experience working with data warehousing concepts and solutions
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience supporting manufacturing or finance domain data solutions
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, EC2, IAM) or Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, notebooks)
- Experience building and deploying scalable data solutions in cloud environments
- Exposure to AI/ML initiatives and experimentation
- Demonstrated experience delivering measurable business impact through automation or AI-driven solutions
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
