Accountant – Gurugram

Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Gurugram. The candidate should have practical knowledge of accounting, GST, Income Tax and TDS compliance. The role involves maintaining accounting records, preparing tax-related workings and supporting regular statutory filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and vouchers.
- Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries.
- Perform bank, vendor and customer reconciliations.
- Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Assist with GST reconciliations and compliance.
- Calculate and deposit TDS within the applicable timelines.
- Prepare and file TDS returns.
- Assist in Income Tax return preparation and related compliance.
- Maintain books of accounts in Tally ERP.
- Prepare ledger scrutiny, trial balance and financial reports.
- Assist in finalization of accounts.
- Use Computax for Income Tax and TDS-related work.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors and internal departments for accounting information.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and statutory compliance.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of GST, Income Tax and TDS.
- Practical experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP.
- Working knowledge of Computax.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny and finalization of accounts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum qualification: Graduate in Commerce or a related field.
- B.Com, M.Com or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- At least 1-2 year of accounting or taxation experience.
- Candidates with experience in a CA firm, accounting firm or tax consultancy will be preferred.
- Candidates residing in or near Gurugram will be preferred.
