Medical Typist – Discharge Summary & Diagnostic Reports

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Typist with experience in preparing discharge summaries and diagnostic reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to deliver accurate reports within timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and type discharge summaries based on doctors’ notes or dictation
- Transcribe and format diagnostic reports including:
- X-ray
- CT Scan
- USG (Ultrasound)
- Echo (Echocardiography)
- Ensure accuracy in medical terminology, formatting and documentation
- Coordinate with doctors and radiologists for clarifications
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records
- Update and manage reports in hospital software (HMS/EMR)
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned work
Candidate Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Typist / Medical Transcriptionist
- Good knowledge of medical terminology and report formats
- Excellent typing speed with high accuracy
- Familiarity with HMS / EMR systems preferred
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, data entry)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma in Medical Transcription or related field (preferred)
