Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in SOC, SIEM, VAPT, or Cybersecurity Operations. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in security monitoring, alert investigation, incident response, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security reporting.
The candidate will be responsible for monitoring security events, investigating potential threats and incidents, conducting VAPT activities, analyzing vulnerabilities, and supporting the organization's overall cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM and security monitoring platforms.
- Perform alert triage, investigation, validation, escalation, and documentation.
- Analyze security logs from endpoints, servers, firewalls, network devices, and applications.
- Conduct Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) for web applications, APIs, networks, and infrastructure.
- Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities along with risk ratings, impact, evidence, and remediation recommendations.
- Investigate suspicious activities, security incidents, and potential Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
- Support incident response, root-cause analysis, containment, and remediation activities.
- Develop security, incident, and VAPT assessment reports.
- Assist in improving SIEM detection rules, monitoring use cases, and security controls.
- Coordinate with IT and development teams for remediation of identified security issues.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, SOC, SIEM, VAPT, or Information Security.
- Hands-on experience in SOC operations, security monitoring, and alert investigation.
- Good understanding of SIEM concepts including log collection, correlation, alert analysis, and incident management.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10, and common cybersecurity attack techniques.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus/OpenVAS, Nuclei, Metasploit, or similar.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, networking, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good technical documentation and report-writing skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, Elastic SIEM, Wazuh, or similar.
- Experience with EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud security and AWS/Azure.
- Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, Security+, CySA+, OSCP, or equivalent.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
