Driver – Job Description
The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, passengers, or materials while ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong attention to safety, punctuality, vehicle maintenance awareness, and excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods, staff, or clients to designated locations.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and arrivals.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs or mechanical issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper documentation of the assigned vehicle.
- Keep accurate records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, and delivery receipts.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
- Ensure the security and proper handling of transported items.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle operated.
- Clean driving record with strong knowledge of local traffic laws.
- Good time management and route planning skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Responsible, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
