Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and optimize our production processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for material planning, labor management, inventory control, and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved while upholding the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Target Achievement:
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet company targets.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to improve overall throughput.
- Material Planning and Inventory Control:
- Coordinate with suppliers ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels, minimizing waste and stockouts while maintaining optimum stock levels.
- Implement systems for tracking and managing inventory to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Labor Management:
- Supervise and manage the workforce to ensure smooth operations and productivity.
- Assign tasks effectively, ensure appropriate skill utilization, and provide training when needed.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, discipline, and accountability among workers.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all production processes adhere to company and industry quality standards.
- Perform regular quality checks and implement corrective actions for defects or deviations.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain consistent product quality.
- Machine Maintenance and Factory Organization:
- Oversee regular preventive maintenance and timely repair of all machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and breakdowns.
- Ensure the factory is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in sheet metal industry.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with machinery maintenance and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks and Microsoft Office tools.
