Position: Purchase Executive – Civil

Job Summary
The Purchase Executive – Civil will be responsible for procurement of civil construction materials, vendor development, rate negotiations, purchase order management, and timely delivery of materials required for project execution. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and project timelines.
- Procure civil construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, sand, bricks, blocks, structural steel, hardware, plumbing, and finishing materials.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procurement policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely supplies.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and procurement schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted availability of materials at project sites.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve issues related to shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase documents before processing payments.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, contracts, and purchase-related documentation.
- Conduct market research and monitor price trends to achieve cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and audit requirements.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports, purchase status reports, and cost-saving reports.
- Support annual budgeting and material planning activities.
- Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, and Project teams for smooth procurement operations.
- Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Additional certification in Procurement or Materials Management will be preferred
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in procurement/purchase functions for civil construction projects, infrastructure projects, industrial plants, power plants, or real estate projects.
