Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager – Tekla Steel Detailing to lead and manage structural steel detailing operations for US-based projects following AISC standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Tekla Structures, project coordination, team management, quality control, and client communication while ensuring timely delivery of fabrication-ready outputs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the complete steel detailing lifecycle from kickoff to final drawing submission.
- Supervise Tekla modelers, detailers, checkers, and project coordinators.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with AISC, AWS, OSHA, and customer standards.
- Review and approve GA drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, erection drawings, and BOMs before release.
- Manage project schedules, manpower allocation, and resource planning.
- Coordinate with clients, fabricators, structural engineers, and internal teams.
- Monitor RFIs, revision management, and project change implementation.
- Establish QA/QC procedures to minimize detailing errors and rework.
- Guide teams in resolving constructability and fabrication issues.
- Drive productivity improvements and detailing standardization.
- Conduct technical reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Support BIM workflows and model coordination activities.
- Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining detailing accuracy and quality.
Required Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech (Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering).
- 12–18+ years in Structural Steel Detailing.
- Minimum 5+ years in leadership / managerial role.
- Expert knowledge of Tekla Structures.
- Strong understanding of AISC, AWS, OSHA, fabrication, erection, connection detailing, and steel construction practices.
- Experience handling commercial, industrial, and miscellaneous steel projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tekla PowerFab, BIM coordination, IFC workflows.
- Knowledge of connection design and fabrication workflows.
- Exposure to US steel detailing projects.
- Experience in process improvement and team development.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per month
