Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, and Civics) to students of Classes 3 to 5 as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessment materials.
- Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions using innovative teaching methods.
- Assess student performance through periodic tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, and progress reports.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of social, political, and geographical issues.
- Organize educational activities, field visits, exhibitions, and social science-related events.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Ensure discipline and create a positive learning environment in the classroom.
- Support school events, examinations, and other academic responsibilities assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science subject.
- B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
- CTET/TET qualification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE/ICSE schools.
- Experience teaching Classes VI to X is preferred.
- Good understanding of CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Smart Boards, and digital learning tools.
- Ability to create engaging and student-centered learning experiences.
- Knowledge of NEP 2020 and competency-based education practices.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
