Job Description – Hardware & Networking Field Engineer Position:Hardware & Networking Field Engineer
Location:Kolkata, West BengalExperience:3 to 6 Months+ Salary: ₹16,000 per month Job Type:Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a Hardware & Networking Field Engineer to provide on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for IT hardware and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have 3–6 months of experience in hardware and networking support and be willing to travel across Kolkata for client service visits. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues. Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi devices. Attend field service calls and provide timely support at client locations. Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks. Troubleshoot network connectivity and internet-related issues. Configure email clients, antivirus software, and basic applications. Prepare service reports and update ticket status after each visit. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure quick issue resolution.
Required Skills Basic knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting. Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, routers, and switches. Knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Good communication and customer-handling skills. Ability to work independently and manage field assignments. Eligibility 3 to 6 months or more of experience in Hardware & Networking Support. Diploma, ITI, BCA, B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science), or equivalent qualification preferred. Freshers with relevant internship or practical experience may also be considered. Willingness to travel within Kolkata and nearby areas.
