Senior Data Engineer
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure cloud data technologies to design, build, and support scalable data platforms and pipelines. The ideal candidate should have experience in banking and wealth management domains, with the ability to deliver secure, high-quality, and reliable data solutions that support analytics, reporting, regulatory requirements, and business initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks.
Build and optimize scalable data solutions leveraging ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
Collaborate with business, analytics, BI, and technology teams to deliver trusted datasets and data products.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement data quality, governance, security, and operational best practices across the data platform.
Maintain technical documentation, source code repositories, and CI/CD deployment processes.
Support integration of data from core banking, wealth management, and enterprise applications.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in Data Engineering and cloud-based data platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, and Data Lake technologies.
Good understanding of Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and Data Governance.
Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Wealth Management environments.
Knowledge of banking data domains including Customer, Account, Portfolio, Holdings, Transactions, KYC, AML, and Regulatory Reporting.
Experience integrating and transforming data from core banking and wealth management platforms is preferred.
Azure and/or Databricks certifications are desirable.
Pay: ₹509,436.64 - ₹1,868,808.54 per year
Work Location: In person
