Layouting of Utility areas
Review of Datasheets for Air Compressor, Chiller, Cooling Towers, Dry Coolers, Boiler, Condensate recovery system, Nitrogen system, Tank farm, Hot water system, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pumps etc.
Preparation of RFQ, Vendor offer review & Technical Query (TQ) and Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) report preparation.
Checking and reviewing of Vendor Documents / Drawings.
Technical discussions with Clients to align on utility equipments and other requirements.
Able to interface with other disciplines for carrying out activities related to equipment.
Consultancy/EPC experience in FEED / Detailed Design of project for piping.
Plan, develop, coordinate and review engineering work, such as engineering calculations, specifications and bid summaries for projects. Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering. Control day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists, designers and drafters. Makes decisions independently concerning problems within the discipline on the project. Represents the discipline on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and as required to coordinate work.
Prepares and oversees work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly. Coordinates assigned engineering work with other project groups/disciplines. Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries. Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators) and coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of drawings/documents for different phases of project.
Knowledge of piping codes and standards like ASME B 31.3, B 31.1, API, IBR etc. Design basis/criteria for piping, selection and preparation of piping material specification pertinent to a project/job.
Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment selection, plot plan & plant layouts, materials selection, exposure to stress analysis. Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
Managing mechanical& piping team wrt guidance for various projects, based on the criticality of schedule for the respective projects.
Good working knowledge of application of 2-D and 3-D CAD tools in development of conceptual designs and detail engineering design deliverables of some complexity. Guiding modellers/drafters and team for best equipment & piping layout design as per industry norms.
General knowledge of 2D / 3D Tools like AutoCAD 2D & AutoCAD Plant 3D.
