Department: Textile Merchandising
Job Title: Assistant Textile Merchant
Location: Hosiery Complex, Phase II, Noida
Travel: Frequent travel to supplier and factory locations as required.
Experience Required: 6 Months to 1 Year
Salary Range: ₹28,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textiles, Fashion, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
Practical Experience
· 6 months to 1 year of experience in a Buying House or Buying Agency.
· Experience in Home Furnishing & Home Textile categories such as bedding, cushions, curtains, rugs, towels, table linen, throws, and similar products.
· Candidates with experience limited to garments, apparel, hardgoods, or other non-home textile categories will not be considered.
· Prior export house experience is not mandatory.
Key Skills
· Basic knowledge of textile merchandising and sourcing.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
· Basic knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
· Willingness to travel frequently for factory visits, product development, and vendor meetings.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Assist in the development of new home textile products.
· Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for fabric sourcing, sample development, and approvals.
· Communicate with suppliers for quotations and production updates.
· Process and maintain customer orders accurately.
· Follow up with factories for weekly production updates.
· Coordinate inspection schedules with the Quality Control team.
· Visit supplier and factory locations for inspections, approvals, and production meetings.
· Monitor market trends and competitor products.
· Maintain order trackers, shipment records, invoices, and merchandising documentation.
