Funding & Backing: Y Combinator (S21), General Catalyst, Kunal Shah ( CRED), Cloud Capital
Recruitment is shifting from manual searching to tech-enabled talent advisory. At Weekday, we combine an AI-native sourcing engine—covering 98% of India’s white-collar workforce—with high-touch account management to help venture-backed startups build elite teams.
We are already profitable, growing rapidly across India and the US, and pairing YC-backed founders directly with top talent.
As a Key Account Manager, you won't be pushing paper or managing bloated recruiter headcount. You will step into the arena as a trusted talent advisor to high-growth startup founders, using AI-driven tools to close mission-critical roles. Whether your background is in agency recruitment, corporate talent acquisition, SaaS account management, or client success, if you have strong consultative instincts and love closing deals, this role gives you the platform and tech stack to scale your impact.
Instead of rigid years-of-experience checklists, we look for core competencies and growth potential:
End-to-End Pipeline Ownership: Experience managing a multi-stage process from initial discovery/briefing through to negotiation and closure (in talent acquisition, agency recruiting, or consultative sales/account management).
Consultative Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, challenge client assumptions constructively, and guide decision-makers using data and market realities.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Proven ability to troubleshoot stalled processes, pivot strategies when initial approaches don't yield results, and navigate ambiguity in fast-moving environments.
Ownership & High Agency: Comfort operating independently, managing your own portfolio, and driving towards clear performance and revenue metrics.
Recruitment Experience: Prior background in agency recruiting, executive search, or in-house talent acquisition across tech or non-tech domains.
Client-Facing / Founder Exposure: Experience directly managing relationships with founders, CXOs, or hiring managers.
Modern Tooling Aptitude: Familiarity with modern recruitment platforms, ATS systems, or CRM databases.
Business & Market Acumen: Understanding of startup ecosystems, business models, and hiring landscapes.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
