Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your skills by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

This role contributes to the Automation business within Process Industries across the India, Middle-East and Africa Region, delivering Power Management System (PMS), Substation Automation System (SAS), SCADA and Electrical integration solutions for Cement, Metals, Mining, Minerals, Material Handling, and Pulp & Paper industries. Key stakeholders include end customers, EPC/LSTK organizations, engineering consultants, project execution teams, automation and electrical engineering teams, system integrators, vendors, and internal business, sales, service, and operations functions.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to make improvements.
Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
Qualifications for the role
8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering for large-scale industrial electrification and automation projects across Cement, Metals, Mining, Minerals, Material Handling, and Pulp & Paper industries.
Extensive experience in Power Management Systems (PMS), Substation Automation Systems (SAS), SCADA, EMS, Electrical Integration, and Automation solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with experience managing engineering consultants and coordinating EPC/LSTK projects.
In-depth knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, switchgear, MCC/IMCC, transformers, drives, cables, lighting systems, batteries, and chargers.
Hands-on experience in electrical integration, automation applications, and communication protocols including IEC61850, OPC, Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, and Profibus.
Proven track record in power system engineering, substation design, protection systems, cable routing, earthing, lighting, and commissioning activities including FAT/SAT.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.
