Selected candidate day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assist with the fabrication using various tools and techniques, including welding, machining, and 3D printing.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for mechanical and electronic subsystems.
- Select, procure, and integrate appropriate components and materials, ensuring cost effectiveness and compatibility with design requirements.
- Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation procedures, including computer-based simulations and real-world performance assessments.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of underwater drone testing procedures, both in controlled environments and field locations.
- Participate in field visits to test sites and vendor facilities to oversee manufacturing processes and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document and communicate design decisions, test results, and engineering changes clearly and effectively.
