The Senior Project Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of Grid Enhancing Technology projects, including switchgear monitoring and transformer monitoring solutions, ensuring execution in line with scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and maintain engineering deliverables, including schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, communication architectures, and system designs for switchgear and transformer monitoring systems, using EPLAN, EBASE, or equivalent tools.
Technical Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and track technical activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budgets. Bring a solid understanding of switchgear monitoring, transformer monitoring, high-voltage systems, substation automation, IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, and other communication protocols.
Support end-to-end project delivery—from engineering through installation and commissioning—resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth execution of switchgear monitoring, transformer monitoring, and digital substation solutions.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the key interface between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service teams, and customers to ensure clear communication and effective progress tracking.
Customer & Site Interface:
Participate in technical discussions, FAT/SAT activities, site surveys, and provide on-site support during commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration as required.
Documentation & Change Management:
Maintain accurate engineering documentation and manage revisions in line with customer requirements, project changes, and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy quality standards, cybersecurity requirements, and safety protocols across all activities.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of switchgear monitoring systems, transformer monitoring systems and substation environments. Familiarity with condition monitoring, asset management, and digitalization solutions is desirable.
Hands-on experience with EPLAN, EBASE, or similar tools, with the ability to develop, review, and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and communication interfaces.
- Project Management Skills:
Proven ability to coordinate engineering activities, manage technical interfaces, track deliverables, and support project execution from order intake through commissioning.
Exposure to installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and FAT/SAT activities for switchgear and transformer monitoring, or substation automation systems is preferred.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, factories, suppliers, and cross-functional teams; proficient in English.
Ability to work effectively in an international, cross-functional environment and manage multiple stakeholders across engineering, operations, manufacturing, procurement, and service organizations.
Experience delivering projects involving Transformer Monitoring, Switchgear Monitoring, Grid Monitoring, or Digital Substation solutions would be highly advantageous.
