Patient Engagement Coordinator
About the role:
As a Patient Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing an unparalleled positive experience for our patients and families. You will work with the Paediatric Oncology
Nutritionist in your assigned hospital to ensure that the entire patient journey with Cuddles is best-in-class - right from onboarding of new patients to follow up with survivors for success stories and engagement. Your role will include, but not be limited to, ensuring effective organisation of events at the hospital by ensuring relevant permissions are in place and networking with all stakeholders to ensure the best care is provided to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care and Navigation:
→ You’ll ensure that all patients who meet with the doctor also meet the nutritionist at every visit.
→ You’ll enter the data of new patients on the FoodHeals App for onboarding.
→ You’ll familiarise new patients and their caregivers with the FoodHeals program by meeting with them individually and explaining the program to them.
→ You’ll be responsible for outreach to patients who have not followed up on their appointments to reduce abandonment.
→ You’ll assist the nutritionist in identifying ration beneficiaries.
→ You’ll coordinate parent support group meetings and support nutritionists in organising them.
→ You’ll organise fun activities and workshops to keep patients and families engaged during OPD hours between appointments and on special days like Children’s Day,
Diwali, etc.
→ You’ll assist in all photo / video shoots in the hospital, ensuring patients are always comfortable and their wishes are respected.
→ You’ll build rapport and collaborate with hospital social workers and administration staff to ensure the nutrition centre runs smoothly and patient needs are met.
→ You’ll ensure upkeep and availability of stationery, books and toys for patients at the centre.
→ You’ll collect and share patient feedback with the program team regularly formally through forms, and informally through anecdotes / conversations with them.
→ You’ll identify and engage potential patient and caregiver champions who can positively impact the experience of new patients.
→ You’ll assist the Paediatric Oncology Nutritionist in your assigned hospital with data entry requirements, as needed.
Aid & Vendor Management
→ You’ll identify and engage with vendors to procure aid like supplements, meals, and monthly rations.
→ You’ll be responsible for ensuring the availability and quality of aid at all times by managing the pick-up and delivery of aid and overseeing its distribution / distributing it.
→ You’ll liaise with the Accounts team to process invoices in a timely manner
→ You’ll be responsible for ensuring that stock reports tally at the end of the day by keeping daily stock reports for all aid, physical and on the FoodHeals App.
→ You’ll ensure that dead or expired stock is moved in a timely manner.
→ You’ll conduct monthly ration audits to ensure that patients are getting what they need.
Cultivating Patient Advocates
→ You’ll be responsible for identifying and cultivating patients and families that can champion the program for our fundraising efforts.
→ You’ll process requests for donor visits and photo / video shoots at the hospital.
→ You’ll be responsible for ensuring that patients are comfortable and that necessary guidelines are complied with during such engagements.
Must-Haves:
→ Graduate in any discipline
→ 1-2 years of experience in the social sector
→ Fluency in the local language
→ Comfort with communicating over email, phone and WhatsApp.
→ Must own and be comfortable operating a smart-phone
→ Personal qualities of integrity compassion and credibility
→ Basic knowledge of MS office
→ Comfortable with use of smartphones / tablets / apps
→ Good communication skills
