The Swimming Coach (male /female) is responsible for training students in swimming skills while ensuring safety, discipline, and physical development. The coach will provide age-appropriate instruction, promote water safety, and encourage fitness and sportsmanship in accordance with school policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct swimming classes for students of different age groups as per the school schedule.
- Teach basic to advanced swimming techniques and strokes.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety norms, pool rules, and hygiene standards.
- Supervise students at all times during swimming sessions.
- Identify and nurture talented swimmers for inter-school competitions.
- Prepare students for swimming meets, events, and competitions.
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, encouraging learning environment.
- Conduct warm-up and cool-down exercises to prevent injuries.
- Coordinate with school authorities regarding pool usage and schedules.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of swimming equipment.
- Keep attendance records and report student progress where required.
- Communicate any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the school authorities.
- Participate in school sports events, trainings, and co-curricular activities.
- Uphold school policies, child safety norms, and institutional values.
Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification:
- Certified Swimming Coach / Lifeguard certification from a recognized authority
- Degree/Diploma in Physical Education (preferred)
- Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience as a swimming coach (school experience preferred)
