An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Record daily financial transactions in accounting systems.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Calculate and file taxes in compliance with regulations.
Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, laws, and regulations.
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, Oracle).
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Professional certification such as TALLY, or CA.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
