Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and patient-focused Consultant Dermatologist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in clinical dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, skin and hair treatments, along with excellent patient consultation and communication skills.
The dermatologist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing dermatological conditions, conducting patient consultations, recommending appropriate treatment plans, performing aesthetic procedures within their scope of practice, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical assessments for skin and hair-related concerns.
- Diagnose and manage common dermatological and cosmetic skin conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessment.
- Provide consultation for concerns such as acne, acne scars, pigmentation, melasma, hair loss, skin ageing, uneven skin tone, and other dermatological conditions.
- Perform appropriate aesthetic and dermatological procedures within professional competence and applicable regulations.
- Provide treatments such as chemical peels, lasers, injectables and other aesthetic procedures, where appropriately qualified and trained.
- Evaluate patients for hair loss and provide appropriate medical management or refer for hair transplant consultation where required.
- Explain treatment procedures, expected outcomes, risks, benefits and post-treatment care to patients.
- Monitor treatment progress and modify treatment plans when clinically appropriate.
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, prescriptions, treatment notes and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection-control, sterilization and patient-safety protocols.
- Coordinate with hair transplant surgeons, aesthetic physicians, therapists, counsellors and other clinical staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional medical ethics.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in dermatology, aesthetic medicine, lasers, hair restoration and cosmetic treatments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Recognized medical qualification with appropriate dermatology specialization/qualification and registration as required by applicable regulations.
- Relevant experience in clinical dermatology and/or aesthetic dermatology.
- Strong knowledge of skin, hair and scalp conditions.
- Hands-on experience with aesthetic procedures will be an advantage.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong patient consultation and communication skills.
- Professional, ethical and patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
