We’re seeking a Engineer-II with strong experience in data engineering, UI development, API engineering, and AWS cloud technologies.
This role focuses on enabling high‑quality analytics consumption by building curated datasets, high‑performing APIs, and intuitive UI integrations.
You will work with data producers, analytics teams, and engineering partners to validate data readiness, design consumption APIs, enhance UI-driven data experiences, and ensure datasets are accessible, governed, and analytics‑ready.
This role blends data engineering + UI engineering + modern API development in consumer-facing capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
UI Development (Angular)
Build or enhance Angular UI components for dataset discovery, schema preview, quality insights, and interactive data browsing
Integrate APIs into Angular services, modules, and components using RxJS and state management
Improve UX for dataset search, navigation, and metadata visibility
API Development (REST/GraphQL)
Build high-performing APIs for data access, metadata retrieval, dataset previews, and export workflows
Implement:
Pagination, filtering, and advanced query parameters
Entitlement‑aware access controls
Caching, throttling, and performance enhancements
Bulk vs. micro consumption flows
Create SDK-style examples, reusable integration templates, and client libraries
Data Validation, Quality & Observability
Perform deep data validation for new or enhanced datasets
Integrate schema checks, monitoring workflows, and drift detection
Investigate anomalies and consumer-reported issues; implement long-term improvements

Required Qualifications
6+ years in data engineering in Angular/ full‑stack engineering roles
Practical Angular experience (services, components, RxJS, modules)
AWS experience with Glue, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM
Ability to interpret/optimize pipelines in Spark, Glue, Python, and dbt.
Understanding of:
Medallion architecture
Data modeling (star schema, semantic layers, wide tables)
Data lineage, metadata, and data quality practices
Strong SQL skills (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Familiarity with Iceberg table format
Proficiency with Git/GitHub workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Database Knowledge (Plus):
Hands-on experience designing or consuming REST/GraphQL APIs is a plus
Experience with data catalogs (Glue Catalog, DataHub, Alation, Collibra)
Understanding of OAuth/OIDC, token-based authentication, API gateway patterns
Experience with consumer analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot)
Understanding of governance, classification, and metadata frameworks
Proven impact improving data discoverability, access patterns, or consumer experience
