About the Role
We are looking for a competent and responsible Accounts & Taxation Executive to join our CA firm. The candidate should have practical knowledge of GST, Income Tax, ROC/MCA compliances, accounting, audits, assessments and appeals and should be capable of independently handling client assignments under the guidance of senior professionals.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of taxation and compliance, good analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments within prescribed timelines.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Finalisation
- Maintain and review books of accounts of clients.
- Pass and verify accounting entries, including purchase, sales, expenses, receipts and payments.
- Perform bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
- Assist in preparation and finalisation of financial statements.
- Prepare schedules, workings and supporting documents for audit and tax purposes.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and coordinate with clients for rectification.
2. GST – Compliance & Advisory
- Preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST returns.
- Reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase books and identification of ITC mismatches.
- GST annual return and reconciliation work, including GSTR-9 / GSTR-9C, wherever applicable.
- Preparation and verification of GST workings, ITC, output tax and liability.
- Handling GST notices, replies and departmental communications.
- Assistance in GST audits, scrutiny, assessments and investigations.
- Preparation of documentation and submissions for GST proceedings.
- Assistance in GST appeals and litigation matters before appropriate authorities/tribunals.
3. Income Tax
- Preparation of income-tax computations for individuals, firms, companies and other entities.
- Preparation and filing of income-tax returns.
- TDS/TCS compliance, including return preparation and reconciliation.
- Assistance in tax audit assignments and preparation of relevant schedules and workings.
- Handling income-tax notices, scrutiny assessments and reassessment proceedings.
- Preparation of replies, submissions and supporting documents for assessment proceedings.
- Assistance in income-tax appeals and related proceedings.
4. ROC / MCA Compliance
- Preparation and filing of applicable ROC/MCA forms and returns.
- Assistance in annual ROC compliances.
- Maintenance and verification of statutory records and corporate documents.
- Assistance in incorporation, changes in directors/shareholding and other MCA-related compliances.
- Coordination with clients for collection of documents and information required for ROC filings.
5. Audit Work
- Assist in statutory audits, tax audits and internal audits.
- Preparation of audit working papers and schedules.
- Verification of books, vouchers, ledgers and supporting documents.
- Conducting basic analytical review and identifying discrepancies.
- Assisting senior professionals in audit planning, execution and finalisation.
- Follow-up with clients for pending audit information and documents.
6. Assessments, Appeals & Litigation Support
- Prepare preliminary workings and documentation for GST and Income Tax assessments.
- Assist in drafting replies to notices and departmental communications.
- Research relevant provisions, notifications, circulars and judicial decisions.
- Prepare statement of facts, grounds of appeal and supporting documentation under the supervision of senior professionals.
- Assist in compilation of appeal papers, paper books and case records.
- Track notices, hearings, appeal deadlines and compliance dates.
- Coordinate with senior professionals and clients for litigation-related assignments.
Candidate Profile
The candidate should have:
- Strong practical knowledge of GST and Income Tax.
- Good understanding of ROC/MCA compliances.
- Practical exposure to audits, assessments and appeals.
- Good accounting and finalisation skills.
- Ability to independently prepare tax workings and reconciliations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand tax notices and basic legal provisions.
- Good drafting and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and assignments simultaneously.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
