- Fresh candidates with excellent academic records, NET/SET, or Ph.D. may also be considered.
Job Summary
The Assistant Professor – Hindi is responsible for delivering quality education in Hindi language and literature to undergraduate students, fostering academic excellence, mentoring students, participating in research and institutional activities, and contributing to the overall development of the department and institution.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Hindi courses to undergraduate students (B.A., B.Com., BBA, BCA, or other Degree programmes as applicable).
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and course files as per the academic calendar.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and interactive classroom sessions.
- Conduct internal assessments, assignments, seminars, and practical evaluations (where applicable).
- Evaluate answer scripts and submit marks within the stipulated timelines.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, and student progress reports.
- Complete the syllabus within the prescribed academic schedule.
Student Mentoring
- Mentor and counsel students on academic and personal development.
- Support students in language proficiency, communication, and literary activities.
- Conduct remedial classes for academically weaker students.
- Encourage participation in literary clubs, debates, essay writing, and cultural competitions.
Research & Academic Development
- Publish research papers in UGC CARE/Scopus-indexed journals.
- Participate in Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), seminars, workshops, conferences, and symposiums.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic innovation.
- Guide student projects and research activities wherever applicable.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.
- Assist in NAAC, IQAC, NBA, and other accreditation activities.
- Coordinate departmental events, guest lectures, workshops, and outreach programmes.
- Support admissions, orientation programmes, examinations, and university-related activities.
- Maintain departmental documentation and records.
Examination Responsibilities
- Prepare question papers, assignments, and assessment rubrics.
- Conduct invigilation duties during examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and upload marks within the stipulated timelines.
- Assist in university examination work as assigned.
Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate actively in college functions, academic events, and student engagement activities.
- Support placement, industry interaction, and student development initiatives.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Principal, HOD, or Management.
Skills Required
- Strong command of Hindi language and literature.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and presentation skills.
- Good classroom management and student mentoring abilities.
- Research and academic writing skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office, LMS, and digital teaching platforms.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrative teams.

Compensation
Salary and benefits will be as per the Institution's norms and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Pay: ₹30,000.08 - ₹35,000.46 per month
