Position: Junior Executive – CAPEX & General Purchase

Reports To: Purchase Manager & Procurement Head
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of CAPEX & General procurement in manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment, or engineering items is preferred.
- Good understanding of quotation comparison, negotiation, PO processing, and vendor management.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP procurement modules is an advantage.
- Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand basic technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs.
- Good analytical and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle procurement of CAPEX & General items for aqua feed manufacturing plants and expansion projects.
- Receive and process Indents / Purchase Requisitions (PRs) from Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Production, House Keeping and other departments.
- Source and identify vendors for:
- Feed mill machinery and equipment
- Extruders, dryers, grinders, mixers, boilers, conveyors, elevators, etc.
- Packing and weighing machinery
- Electrical panels, motors, drives, cables, and automation items
- Compressors, pumps, DG sets, utilities, and other plant equipment
- Fabrication, structural works, piping, and installation-related requirements
- Obtain quotations from approved and new suppliers.
- Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) based on price, specifications, delivery, warranty, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
- Coordinate with Engineering/Projects teams for technical evaluation and vendor clarification.
- Support commercial negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and favorable payment and delivery terms.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding manufacturing status, inspection, dispatch, installation, and commissioning schedules.
- Coordinate with Stores, Engineering, Finance, and Project teams for material receipt and invoice processing.
- Maintain proper records of quotations, CS, POs, vendor communications, and CAPEX procurement documents.
- Assist in monitoring CAPEX budget vs. actual purchase commitments.
- Support vendor evaluation, development, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and quality requirements.
- Handle vendor issues related to delays, shortages, quality, documentation, and warranty.
- Update procurement status reports and provide regular updates to the Purchase Head / Management
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Candidates from Aqua Feed, Animal Feed, Food Processing, FMCG, or Manufacturing industries will be preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
