Position Summary
The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry facility, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality processing, compliance with healthcare hygiene standards, and optimal utilization of manpower and equipment. The role requires strong leadership, operational planning, and a commitment to maintaining strict infection prevention and quality control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure timely processing and delivery of hospital linens, uniforms, patient garments, and other healthcare textiles.
- Allocate work efficiently among team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Monitor workflow to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
Quality & Infection Control
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laundry hygiene standards and infection control protocols.
- Monitor wash formulas, water temperature, chemical usage, and processing parameters to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, stain removal, and proper finishing of linens.
- Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and guide laundry operators and support staff.
- Train employees on operational procedures, workplace safety, quality standards, and infection control practices.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance, leave, and shift planning.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Monitor the performance of laundry equipment and report maintenance requirements promptly.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure proper operation of washing machines, dryers, flatwork ironers, folding machines, and related equipment.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace health and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals, contaminated linen, and waste materials.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable healthcare, environmental, and occupational safety regulations.
- Promote the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in laundry operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in hospital, healthcare, industrial, or commercial laundry operations is highly preferred.

Working Conditions
- Work in an industrial laundry environment with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and laundry chemicals.
- Rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays may be required based on operational needs.
- Standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of linen loads may be required.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
