Roles & Responsibilities of Quality Engineer
1. Incoming Material Inspection
- Check incoming raw material (steel bars/coil) as per specification.
- Verify material certificates (MTC), chemical composition, mechanical properties.
- Ensure supplier material meets customer requirements.
- 2. In-Process Quality Control
- Monitor peeled bright bar process parameters:
- Peeling machine settings
- Cutting length
- Surface finish
- Diameter tolerance
- Straightness
- Ovality
- Perform inspection at different production stages.
3. Final Product Inspection
- Inspect finished bright bars for:
- Diameter & tolerance
- Surface defects
- Roughness
- Length
- Straightness
- Hardness
- Visual quality
- Prepare inspection reports and release products.
4. Quality Documentation (IATF 16949)
- Maintain quality records:
- Control Plan
- Inspection Reports
- SPC Records
- MSA (Gauge R&R)
- PPAP Documents
- FMEA
- CAPA Reports
- Follow ISO/IATF procedures.
5. Defect Analysis & Corrective Action
- Investigate customer complaints and internal rejections.
- Perform:
- Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone)
- Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Reduce rejection and improve quality.
6. Process Improvement
- Work with production team to improve:
- Productivity
- Quality
- Scrap reduction
- Process stability

Roles & Responsibilities of Production Engineer
1. Production Planning & Control
- Plan daily production as per customer requirements.
- Achieve production targets with required quality.
2. Machine & Process Monitoring
- Monitor peeled bright bar machines:
- Peeling machine
- Straightening machine
- Cutting machine
- Grinding/finishing equipment
- Ensure proper machine settings.
3. Manpower Management
- Allocate operators according to production needs.
- Train operators for process and quality requirements.
4. Productivity Improvement
- Reduce:
- Downtime
- Material wastage
- Rework
- Improve machine utilization and output.
5. Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with maintenance team for:
- Machine breakdowns
- Preventive maintenance
- Tool changing
6. Safety & 5S
- Ensure workplace safety.
- Follow 5S, TPM, and standard operating procedures.
Key Skills Required
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
- Understanding of steel grades & material properties
- Knowledge of centerless grinding / peeling process
- Use of measuring instruments:
- Micrometer
- Vernier caliper
- Surface roughness tester
- Hardness tester
- Problem-solving tools:
- 8D
- 5 Why
- Fishb
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
