Job Title: Supervisor – Textile & Garment Manufacturing

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our garment production facility. The company specializes in the production of coats, jackets, woollen garments, and other textile products. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, optimal manpower utilization, shift planning, quality compliance, and timely achievement of production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Supervise and monitor all production activities on the shop floor.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved.
- Coordinate with cutting, stitching, finishing, pressing, packing, and dispatch departments to maintain smooth workflow.
- Monitor production efficiency and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Ensure production schedules are followed and delivery deadlines are met.
Manpower Planning & Supervision
- Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor worker attendance, performance, and productivity.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels across all production lines and departments.
- Train, guide, and motivate workers to achieve operational goals.
- Address workforce issues and maintain discipline on the production floor.
Shift Planning
- Prepare and manage shift schedules based on production workload.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts for uninterrupted operations.
- Optimize workforce deployment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to reduce defects and rework.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and manufacturing procedures.
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Monitor machine utilization and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize breakdowns.
- Recommend improvements in workflow, manpower utilization, and production planning.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily production reports, attendance records, and efficiency reports.
- Report production performance, challenges, and corrective actions to management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and manpower utilization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in any field is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree holders may also apply; however, a relevant Diploma is preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a textile or garment manufacturing unit.
- Experience in the production of coats, jackets, woollen garments, and other apparel products will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, production planning, manpower management, and quality control systems.
