Job Description: TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher
CBSE Curriculum – Grades 6 to 10
Position Overview:
The TGT Social Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality Social Science education in accordance with the CBSE Curriculum. The role focuses on developing students’ understanding of History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, while fostering critical thinking, inquiry skills, analytical reasoning, and responsible citizenship.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, and Economics) for Grades 6 to 10 following the CBSE curriculum framework.
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that encourage inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking.
- Help students develop research, analytical, and problem-solving skills in the context of Social Science topics.
- Integrate real-world examples, current events, and cross-curricular links to make learning relevant and meaningful.
- Use formative and summative assessment methods aligned with CBSE standards to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Encourage responsible citizenship, cultural awareness, and respect for diversity.
- Participate actively in school activities, departmental meetings, professional development, and training programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Recognized teaching qualification with expertise in Social Science.
- Experience teaching Social Science at the secondary level (Grades 6–10) preferred.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to foster critical thinking, inquiry, and responsible citizenship.
- Commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous professional development.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
