Restaurant Operations Manager – ChennaiPosition Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, team leadership, revenue growth, cost control, and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive business performance while maintaining exceptional guest experiences and consistent operational standards.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.
- Proven experience in managing restaurant profitability, team performance, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience in multi-unit operations is an added advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Implement and maintain operational SOPs, service standards, and quality controls.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, service delivery, hygiene, and customer experience.
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Revenue Growth & Business Performance
- Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and revenue.
- Drive guest engagement, repeat business, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key business metrics and take corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Support local marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
Cost Control & Inventory Management
- Control food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.
- Implement measures to reduce wastage and improve profitability.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management.
- Conduct regular audits and variance analysis.
Team Leadership & Training
- Lead, motivate, and develop restaurant teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of employees.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Track sales, labor costs, food costs, inventory, wastage, and profitability.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to support business decisions.
- Present performance insights and action plans to management.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular operational audits and corrective action reviews.
