Role Overview
We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning, installation, and startup of our Heat Battery systems. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in boilers, heat exchangers, process equipment, thermal power, or industrial process plants who enjoy working on the shop floor and at customer sites.
You'll work closely with fabrication partners, EPC contractors, vendors, and customers to ensure every system is commissioned safely and performs as designed.
Key Responsibilities Factory Commissioning
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) before shipment.
- Perform hydrotests, pneumatic leak tests, instrumentation calibration, and control loop checks.
- Validate system performance against design specifications.
- Coordinate packed-bed loading and system testing.
- Sign off systems before dispatch.
Site Installation & Commissioning
- Lead installation and commissioning at customer sites across India.
- Coordinate equipment erection and mechanical tie-ins.
- Support instrumentation and control system integration.
- Conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues during startup.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Manage vendors for tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, insulation, skid fabrication, and instrumentation.
- Float RFQs and evaluate technical & commercial quotations.
- Conduct vendor audits and inspections.
- Track manufacturing progress and delivery schedules.
- Manage supplier quality and NCR resolution.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and installation efficiency.
- Work closely with engineering teams to implement design improvements.
- Support documentation, SOP development, and commissioning procedures.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ASME, IBR, PESO, and applicable industry standards.
- Support preparation of commissioning documentation, inspection reports, and quality records.
- Maintain high safety standards during factory and site activities.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 3–7+ years of experience in:
- Boilers
- Heat exchangers
- Process plants
- Thermal power
- Industrial energy
- Steam systems
- Process equipment
- Hands-on experience in:
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Equipment commissioning
- Hydrotesting
- Mechanical installation
- Industrial equipment startup
- Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and customers.
- Strong understanding of P&IDs and industrial process equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pressure vessels and steam systems.
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.1/B31.3, IBR, and PESO.
- Exposure to EPC projects or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Experience working in startup or first-of-a-kind product environments is a plus.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
