https://www.thenudge.org/ is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals, and youth across rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion, in partnership with 15+ central and state governments.
Our economic inclusion journey towards serving 25 million Indians spans 10 states and currently reaches over 1.5 million people. About this Role
The/Nudge is looking for an AI Product Engineer to help accelerate our journey towards becoming an AI-proficient organization. This position will focus on exploring, designing, and building AI-driven products, internal prototypes, and automation tools. The intern will work closely with the program, strategy & operations teams to identify workflows that can be optimized using AI, develop intelligent solutions, and help cultivate an AI-first mindset across the organization to improve our program delivery and scale.
What will you do?

Collaborate with various internal teams to understand operational workflows and identify opportunities for AI integration, product building, or automation.

Design, prototype, and develop AI-powered tools, custom chatbots, or internal applications using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or low-code/no-code AI automation platforms.

Help build AI solutions that can support smart data analysis, automated report generation, and efficient knowledge management across our programs.

Conduct research on emerging AI technologies, AI-first solutions, and frameworks relevant to the Institute.

Assist in training and upskilling team members on adopting everyday AI tools to enhance overall organizational AI proficiency.

Document product building processes, system architectures, and technical learnings for future scale-up.
Who are we looking for in this role?

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field (passionate self-taught developers are also welcome to apply).

0-2 years of hands-on experience in building AI/ML applications, integrating APIs and managing vector databases.

Proficiency in Python and familiarity with automation workflows (LangChain, Make.com, n8n).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prototyping skills with a keen interest in product development.

Ability to multi-task, act as a good team player, and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Proactive mindset with a strong interest in system strengthening, process improvement, and automation.
