About Alanar
Alanar Alternative Investment Management Private Limited is the investment management entity of Alanar One Health Fund, a SEBI-registered Category-II Alternative Investment Fund focused on businesses operating across pharmaceutical engineering, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and allied infrastructure sectors.
The Fund works closely with founder-led businesses and supports them not only with capital, but also with operational discipline, governance, compliance orientation, market access and long-term institutional readiness.
Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join us as an Associate – Fund Operations & Finance.
This is an execution-heavy role for someone early in their career who wants practical exposure to the operating backbone of an Investment Fund.
The role will involve fund operations, investor coordination, drawdowns, distributions, compliance tracking, documentation management, external stakeholder coordination and basic finance / accounts support for the investment manager entity.
The ideal candidate should be accurate, responsive, discreet, organised and comfortable handling detail-heavy work with strong follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Fund Manager in day-to-day fund operations.
· Coordinate capital calls / drawdowns, including notices, tracking, follow-ups and records.
· Support distribution-related processes, documentation and investor communication.
· Maintain investor records, contribution details, drawdown status, capital account data and related operational trackers.
· Coordinate investor onboarding, KYC, AML and documentation requirements.
· Assist with investor statements, fund communications, document requests and query resolution.
· Coordinate with the fund administrator, trustee, auditors, tax consultants, legal counsel, bankers and compliance consultants.
· Maintain compliance calendars and track regulatory / statutory deadlines with external advisors.
· Organise and maintain fund-level documentation, checklists, approvals, registers, signed documents and data rooms.
· Support basic accounting, payment processing, invoice tracking and expense records for Alanar Alternative Investment Management Private Limited.
· Coordinate with accountants / consultants for TDS, GST, audit, tax and statutory matters.
· Assist in maintaining internal MIS, reconciliations and finance trackers.
· Support preparation of basic financial summaries and working files as required.
Investment Documentation Support
- Assist with investment closing checklists, CP / CS tracking, subscription documents, demat / share allotment follow-ups and deal documentation records, subject to performance on core responsibilities.
- Support internal data room organisation and document control for investment-related work.
Candidate Requirements
· Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
· 0–2 years of post-qualification experience.
· Prior exposure to AIF, PMS, fund administration, investment management, financial services or audit will be preferred, but is not mandatory.
· Basic financial modelling ability.
· Strong Excel and documentation discipline.
· Ability to coordinate with multiple external parties and follow up without being repeatedly pushed.
· Strong written communication and comfort handling investor-facing coordination.
· High attention to detail, confidentiality and accuracy.
· Willingness to do operational, process-heavy and detail-oriented work.
· Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in a small, high-accountability team.
What This Role Offers
This role offers direct exposure to how a SEBI-registered Category-II AIF actually operates — not from the outside, but from within the fund’s day-to-day machinery.
The candidate will work closely with the Fund Manager and gain hands-on experience across fund operations, investor servicing, drawdowns, distributions, compliance coordination, finance, documentation and investment execution support.
For a high-performing candidate, the role can also expand beyond fund operations into work on investee companies’ finances, internal financial review, MIS, business analysis and financial advisory support across Alanar’s broader ecosystem. This progression will be heavily subject to performance, ownership and demonstrated ability to handle core responsibilities with accuracy and discipline.
The role is suited for a young CA who wants to build a career at the intersection of fund operations, finance, investment execution and founder-led business advisory.
